Gift Shop Call to Artists

Confluence Gallery is “warming up” it’s Gift Shop for the coming winter season!

Summary

We welcome you, artists and artisans alike, to contribute your work to our ever evolving gallery gift shop. We are accepting submissions of all varieties, but are particularly in need of ceramics, scarves, hats, woolen items, and masculine jewelry!
If you create, please submit up to 5 clear images of individual pieces or product lines to be juried. Describe the medium and/or process of your art or products and the corresponding price points.

Sooner the better!

Rules

Each piece must be…

  • Your own original work.
  • Available for sale.
  • Created in the last 3 years.
  • Any size
  • Any medium.
  • Ready for hanging with appropriate hardware/wire secured to work (artwork without hanging hardware will not be accepted).

Please Note…
The gallery has the right to refuse work, even after work is delivered to the gallery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, or available space of the gallery. We are looking for high quality execution that contributes to the diversity and vision of the gallery gift shop program.

Deadlines

  • Submit NOW (email to kaileah@confluencegallery.com) WITH samples of work to be juried.
  • Artist Statement and Bio once work has been accepted (email or Word document).
  • Completed works, inventory sheet and Confluence Gallery contract due unpon work intake.
  • Confluence Gallery and Art Center is a non-profit gallery. All shipping arrangements and costs to and from the gallery of unsold works are each artist’s responsibility. THE COLOR OF WORDS: Call For Handmade Books
We invite you to contribute handmade books to our exhibit The Color of Words at Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA.
The show will open January 11, 2020, and run through February 24, 2020.
SUMMARY
In this show, The Color of Words, we encourage you, the artist, to contribute handmade books to a living collection that will be housed in the gallery. We invite you to contribute to a diverse “library” of handmade books inspired by the colors literature brings into life, art, and the world.

Number of pieces to submit: Up to 10

RULES
EACH PIECE MUST BE…
A handmade book.
Your own original work.
Available for sale.
Created in the last 3 years.
Any size.
Never previously been shown in the Methow Valley area.

PLEASE NOTE…
The Exhibit Curator has the right to refuse work, even after work is delivered to the gallery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, available space of the show, or does not follow the parameters set forth above. We are looking for high quality execution and thoughtful content that contribute to the vision of the show as stated above.
DEADLINES
Intent to Submit: Email Intent to Submit Form [PDF] and JPEGs titled “lastname_title_medium_size” to gallery program manager (kaileah@confluencegallery.com) by November 1, 2019.
Accepted work: Email high quality JPEGs (300dpi) of accepted work or work in progress along with Artist Statement and Bio (word doc preferred, pdf OK), Inventory Sheet, and Confluence Gallery Contract up to and including the day of delivery, January 4, 2020.
All works must be at the Confluence by January 4, 2020.
Show Opening: January 11, 5pm – 7pm. All artists are encouraged to attend.
Show Closes: February 24. Work will be available for pick up after 5:30pm, or from 10-5pm February 25.
