Art in the Wild is a NEW Summer Art Camp for youth ages 5 – 12 with community service volunteer opportunities for ages 13 to 18. This FUN Summer Arts camp is presented by Confluence Gallery under the direction of art therapist Michele Koger,MA, LMT, ATR.
Each week explores the natural world through art making, providing an enriching art camp experience that is accessible for any child in the Methow Valley regardless of economic status.
The 2019 “Art in the Wild”camp is full of art explorations focused on the natural world in the Methow Valley, such as, geology, birds and wildlife, river ecology, and foraging for wild foods. Local teaching artists and environmental educators will guide students through a curriculum using repurposed and upcycled resources and materials found in nature reinforcing creativity and resourcefulness while building social skills and creative life skills thru hands-on art education combined with environmental education.

Dates: Monday – Friday, July 8 – August 2, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Methow Valley Community School in Twisp, WA
Cost:$175/week ages 5 – 12 includes supplies (subsidized tuition available)
Volunteer: FREE for student volunteers ages 13-18, community service hours granted. Download volunteer application.
