Summer Art Camp Registration Opens April 8!

Art in the Wild is a Summer Art Camp for all kids ages 3 – 12 with community service volunteer opportunities for ages 13 to 18 presented by Confluence Gallery. Each week explores the natural world through art making, providing an enriching art camp experience that is accessible for any child in the Methow Valley. This FUN Summer Arts camp is presented by Confluence Gallery under the direction of art therapist Michele Koger,MA, LMT, ATR.

The 2019 camp curriculum include print making/paper arts, fiber arts, field journaling, photography and nature drawing. Local teaching artists and environmental educators will guide students through a curriculum using repurposed and upcycled resources and materials found in nature reinforcing creativity and resourcefulness while building social skills and creative life skills thru hands-on art education combined with environmental education.

Week 1: The Four Elements

New this year! Early Child Summer Arts Program

Early Child Summer Arts Program; Where children can experience the wonder of childhood. Activities include: Imagination, Creative Art Making, Movement, Circle Time Games, Play, Singing,Music, Storytelling, Puppetry, Nature.

The summer camp for the young child program provides a healthy rhythm that offers enrichment to support the child’s senses through experiencing a wide variety of the arts, enhancing social relations, and establishing wonder for the natural world.

Lesa Sevin is a working artist with over 30 years of early childhood education experience. She has teaching credentials as an Art Educator, Waldorf Teacher, and Early Childhood Educator.

Dates: Monday – Friday, July 8 – August 2, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Methow Valley Community School in Twisp, WA
